Water trial workshop is for Junior Water Dog and Apprentice Water Dog working teams.
Workshop is open for Mariposa puppy owners and puppy owners sired by Mariposa dogs.

This workshop is geared for foundation training. Whether you have plans to compete in performance events or just want a family member with good house manners, learning foundation skills becomes the building blocks for everything you do with your dog.
How to use a conditioned re-inforcer

• How to build a fast “come”
• Teaching sit and down stays
• Beginning retrieving/Retrieving on the flat

advance of the workshop)
This workshop is for Mariposa PWD puppy familes or familes with PWDs sired by a Mariposa PWD.
You will be learning scissoring techniques for the lion and retriever cut. You will learn how to trim the face, head, ears as it pertains to both the lion and retriever cut. Simple pet trims will be covered. We will demonstrate how to pluck and clean ears as well as trim nails. We will cover grooming products and the tools we use at Mariposa for grooming PWDs
What to bring with your model PWD?
• Freshly bathed and blown out dog.
• Grooming table w/arm (if you don’t have one, let us know in advance).
• All your tools, including clippers, guards, and blades. Pin brush, slicker and combs.
• Towel, crate, water bucket and treats

Adele Yunck is widely respected as an obededience instructor and competitor who has written several books including "Competition Obedience" A Balancing Act", started the Northfield Dog Triaining in Ann Arbor, MI in 1990 and has been teaching group and private lessons for 2 decades.

Great Lakes PWD Club annual Fun Day. Members and non members welcome and any breed is welcome to attend. This year we are dedicating the majority of the day to learn about Barn Hunts an activity that anyone, any age of dog or handler can learn. You can attend Barn Hunt competition and earn titles on the end of your dogs formal AKC or UKC registration name. A seminar about feeding raw food vs. commercial kibble to your dog. The speaker is Robert Mueller B.Sc., Pharm, has worked with animal nutritionists and holistic veterinarians, and is considered a pioneer of the raw food movement. Rob is author, and co-founder of BARF.
